PageRank indicated early

New site, got great PR, but not in permanent index yet!

First time I have seen this. A month ago, I created a new site. A few places have linked to it. It was immediately picked up by Freshbot (thank you, Google), but as we all know such listings fade in and out of the index.

Today, suddenly PR is indicated (PR 7, in fact), but no backlinks are shown. And the site is not in the index at this moment. Has this particular set of things happened to anyone else?

Yep. Exact same thing here. New site that had a gray PR until today. Now showing PR5.

Hold on. If I go to any site and then go to my new site, the PR value carries forward. Must be a toolbar glitch.

The toolbar seems very glitchy at the moment - I have an unindexed site showing up as PR10 - sadly I guess it is just the new version of the toolbar rather than a sign of an update about to start (which is often the cause of some toolbar glitches)

If you got found by Freshbot, your toolbar PR is going to be a "guess".

You will have to wait until your site is picked-up by the normal update before you will know what your real PR is.

I have been to many sites today that the PR is definitely glitchy. Sites are changing, and others are showing a high PR that it definitely doesn't have/deserve. Something seems to be going on in preparation of the dance, just don't know what it all means, yet. But I am guessing the dance is very near...

And if you see your site with a PR10, be sure to get a screen shot of it ;) I have been checking my PR all day, but no luck yet!

I was just about to come and post that i seen my 2 month old site, flash a pr of 7, but it was only a flash :(
