Paid Listing - Google

What is the benefit of paying to be listed in google?
Will they list every page of a site instantly/24hrs?

My other question is, what if someone decides they dont like my site being popular, and they submit to google to have my website removed from google? Will google simply pull my website without my authorization? Does paying for directory inclusion give you some sort of password protection from competitors cancelling my google listing?

Just curious.

You don't pay to get listed in Google. It's free.

To get listed in AdWords, they charge you $$$.

If somebody told you that you need to pay to get listed in Google, don't believe them. A single link from another site *already in google* is all you need for their spider to come crawling.

Is addwords really worth it? By the way can someone have any of my websites removed from google by simply filling out their form for website removal? Does google provide any protection from these childish schemes?

If your sites are clean and have no hidden text, 1x1 px link farms, etc... you have nothing to worry about.
