I'm finding a couple of different results also. Is this the start?

I'm getting different results around 30-40 between www1 & www2, using "white" or "construction".

you can always get different results on www1 an the other ones under selected keywords. It is the nature of freshbot and the distribution of databases throughout the Google empire. Only the link counts matter to determine an update.

Thanks Brett. Us first dancers must look like the stag line at the junior high prom. I personally feel like I've been through an old college drinking binge; if I die right now, I will linger until I find out what the hell happened!

skipfactor,

I lucked out and was out of town for my first 3 dances. By the time I had to sit through one, it wasn't worth getting wound up over.

Now that I'm 6 months into it, The first day, I check my backlinks, and I check the number of pages indexed from my site as soon as I can. Then I just keep watching my stats to make sure the traffic is still going up. I don't have any "main keywords" so it isn't worth checking them. Then about 3 days in I run through some of the major pages of my site with the toolbar checking my PR.

Once your site is in, and if you keep it clean and keep working on the basics, you will just look at the dance as "interesting" and not really have to worry about it.

I really really pray and hope the crawl hasn't started just yet!

My ISP seems to have done a mental and my site has been down for 12 hours! Hopefully it'll be up again soon but I don't want Google thinking I've died :-)

*keeps praying and praying*

wackybrit - I wouldn't worry. Normally you only have problems if your site is down when Googlebot is deep-crawling. If it kind find your pages then you won't be in the index after the dance. But a server being down during the dance is normally not a problem.
