Hi all,
I've been reading some of the last threads about the noarchive tag problem and I'm wondering how to solve it. Wich would be a valid method to avoid people ripping off my content and keep penalizations and human reviewers out of my site?

I thought that, maybe, including a little js script in the top of the pages wich automatically redirect the users to the apropiatte url if the word "cache" appears in the top of the code?. That word is only in my code when google shows my cached pages so I think it could work.
is it a solution?

Digimon, that's not a solution. Unfortunately there's no real solution to avoid snooping around in your pages' source code ... blocking right mouse clicks by java script, redirect by java script, encryption by java script ... all needless. There's allways a way around it cause all web pages are rendered at the client side and therefor can be viewed at the client side (browser, caches etc). And don't forget that java script can be turned off.

BTW: i would avoid any java script redirection.

Yeah, of course. I know there is no real solution for the problem you describe but I'm not talking about people copying my code unless my content.

I'm looking for a valid substitute to the noarchive tag and I think that, maybe, what I've suggested could work. But I would like to know if this kind of script could generate any kind of problems..

Google dislikes all kinds of redirects that it can't follow.

If you can guarantee that your site survives a hand check ...

... your competitor prob hunts you if he can't steal your content.
