Ah special friend #1

Have a google search for a google-dance tool and it will show you the servers (all 3)

This has to be the earliest we've ever heard update fever setting in. Kick back and wait atleast 2+ weeks. Sometime the last week of the month.

As Monkscuba can verify the january update fever ended only hours ago. On the other hand it seems that deepcrawl and the big update are getting to be less significant because of freshbot.

Geez, googlebot just deep crawled my sites yesterday and day before and you'e already wondering about an update. I'm just happy to see the crawl, now I can relax awhile and build more pages while we await the update in about 3 more weeks.

Thanks, Brett, for the link to the Update Checker - very handy and has been added to my Favourites also.....

Interesting, looking at the figures for the last few months, that the update before the present one saw a 3.5 % decrease in the number of links.... Anyone have an explanation as to why that is? (Google becoming more selective?)
