using the remove url tool

very bad idea?

i used a couple months ago removed my url with the removal
google tool. my site still has smoz listing
but now website has a PR=0 , did my website get penalized because i removed it in the google index?

chris, did you remove the Disallow: from your robots.txt file?

To use the Google Remove URL tool, you need to include a Disallow: line in your robots.txt file so that Googlebot can follow the removal directive. If you have not removed the Disallow: line, you are still blocking Googlebot.
