If I made some changes on my site then freshbot visited my site could this change my position in the Google index or does the freshbot simply acknowledge the changes in the site for the deepcrawl.

You may see a jump in the pages ranking for a short period of time (a few days) and then drop again.
The changes will be shown permanent in the next update.

Is there any way that no changes in positioning would be shown until the deepcrawl has been and the new index is on display. I am asking because i have made some very major changes to my site and freshbot has been along and the site has not moved at all.

I rarely see changes for the positions of my pages between the updates. Major changes, found by freshbot, have just appeared in the SERPs for one of my main keywords: Changed title, meta description and content on one of my pages. But still same position.

Thanks troels_nybo_nielsen. So in your past experience you would probably expect to see a change in your position after the deepcrawl even though freshbot has shown your changes but without changing your position.

I have found a change in ranking several times, I did last week as a matter of fact :) when I made a change to a page added a new paragraph and a few graphics.
But you can never be sure if it is Everflux or freshbot... or both :)

needinfo, I certainly am not worried about the mentioned page. The last update brought it from #6 to #4. The changes on it had been found by freshbot and shown on the SERP in january without causing any change in position. I think you can take it easy and hope for a better position in the next update.
