Do links to sub pages help boost the home page PR?

Say you have a site with 300 internal pages and each internal page has an average of 2 or 3 links pointing to it. Would that give the weighting to the internal page AS WELL AS the root dir or just the internal page.

Hi drewts and welcome to Webmasterworld. The quick answer to your question is. If the internal pages link to the "root dir" (index page) some PR will some passed on to the "root".
