Does this traffic convert?

I was looking over some of my access logs and noticed a lot of traffic coming from Google's image search. Has anybody tried to track this traffic? I am wondering if any of the traffic from image searches converts to sales or if it is just people looking for images.

I don't think it would convert, personally. I find a lot of people linking to our images in forums etc., which is what I figure most of my google image hits (not a lot) end up being used for.

I was getting a lot of Google image hits in the past. I had to remove the pictures somewhere else. The images were getting thrown up in so many message boards. I'm so glad I'm not getting as many image hits. 50 hits as compared to 500. It was messing up my visitor hit stats & wasn't converting to anything like "thank-you" emails or sign ups for my website.

I've not heard of anyone having any traffic convert from image searches.

Not direct traffic, but I have had requests for pictures in off-line publications where I did get referenced.
