As a newbie to all this search engines stuff, I was hoping that all you clever people out there could give me a little help with some simple tips which could make a difference to a site just appearing on Google to actually appearing under specified keyphrases (without Adwords).
The best thing to do is go to the Google forum and read every thread you can find, and then read the Google FAQ.
Look for topics on: Google freshbot Google Dance (the monthly update) The Everflux effect Googlebot
Use the site search engine as well :)

You know, I recently re-read Bretts Successful site in 12mts [webmasterworld.com] thread and it's just as relevant today is it was exactly one year ago!
