Question about optimizing in time for Google crawl

OK, sorry for the double post. I have a thread going on the Ecommerce forum and thought I could post here as well. If I can make any changes before Google comes crawling I'd like to do so.

The other forum explained the timing of submitting pages in advance for the listing of seasonal/holiday pages. I currently have my Valentine products published. I've learned that I should actually have my July content published in order to be indexed properly in the coming months.

My question: How do I design the site so that my Valentine shoppers (who find my site based on it being indexed with the Valentine content) won't be confused when they see 4th of July content (published so that Google can spider the content.)

I thought of just doing a "general" page instead of product specific. But then how come I can search for "Valentine's Day" and websites are listed that actual have Valentine's Day content? Are these site not optimized for the future holidays?

Please feel free to direct this message to the correct forum if I have posted in error.

Thanks!

Depends on how high your PageRank is. With a PR6 or higher you can have frshbot coming around twice a month and posting changes more frequently. If you are below a PR4 I would plan well in advance for future holidays and start obtaining quality, relevant links.
