google indexed a slave page instead of my main page.
Is the dance still going on or is this it for this month?
wich seo techniques will google don't like? I used some words in almost the same color on my entrance page. can that be it? And my page rank is still changing sometimes I see pr 3 sometimes and sometimes pr 6. I'm wondering why.

Yes, I think the dance is still on. By the way, what is a slave page?

[quote]I used some words in almost the same color on my entrance page[quote/]

! wow - and you are asking what SEO (aka SPAM) does google not like.... I assume you mean the words (text) are the same colour as your background.

rule of thumb - if it feels wrong then it probably is...

i used ALMOST the same color.
With a slave domain i mean that that's a name thats cloaked (redirected) towards the main page (url)
the strange thing that google indexed the slave and not the main domain
greetz and good luck with the dance

Well, cloak and redirect are two different things. If your main page is cloaked, the cloaked page will be in Google's index and the "real" main page will be presented as soon as a user click on a search result.

But if you are using a re-direct I think both pages should be in Google's index. Whatever it is, you're walking on very thin ice. This stuff isn't allowed by search engines and you might get reported by a competitor or Google's algo might get wind of your methods and penalise you. Take care! Maybe jpavery can confirm how much risk you're taking if you stickied him.

tanx for the help
Normally you don't see any text. because the main page is an entrance page with a picture of a door on it.But i know google needs words to index so i tried to put in the background with a slight change of color. but if it kills my ranking i'm gonna change it in to normal text

you sound like you have been mis guided... spend some time reading through this forum - drop the "almost" same colour text... how hard do you think it would be for google to detect that? (i.e. bad = dark green on even darker green; good = black on white)
