Hi,
I have a small site with a bunch of .lasso files. My homepage (which is .html) is indexed in google & shows a pagerank of 7 in the toolbar. However none of the pages below have a pagerank though I can still search for them.

Does Google only assign pagerank to certain filetypes?
Would it be better for my site to have all .html pages?

Thanks,
Jason

it might (only might) be, that google won't index .lasso files. i think it's a good practice to get sure, that the server will return a text/html mime-type after the get request on such a file (it should do that to display it in a browser).

btw, what are .lasso files?

Google prefers .html more than any other extension, i know there is problems with the Google toolbar for different extenstions, like it didn't show pagerank for .info domains for a long time, if they show up in the rankings i wouldn't worry, and if you want you can always change them to .html if it doesn't mean any implications for your site.

There are quite a few [google.com] .lasso file types indexed but none I could find with a toolbar p/r but one did have a directory [directory.google.com] p/r
