chris,
added in dmoz a couple weeks ago

In order to get picked up for this update, it would need to have been added four weeks ago. The update now in progress is using mostly data collected at the beginning of January.

Things seem to be changing in this regard, as some are reporting that Freshbot data is making it into the index. It will be hard to tell until after the update settles, though. However, the "old knowledge" is that it takes a minimum of four weeks to get listed, and up to eight if you just miss the monthly cut-off.

chris, my recent experience is if you are listed very deep in DMOZ (say way down in a Regional cat) the listing does not appear in backlinks or the Google Directory. I have been listed deep in DMOZ for a few months and I think I am getting the PR but that's all.

I've got a listing in a higher category now so after the next update I will see if it goes into the Google Directory or not.

Hi. I'm new here. My site has been listed with DMOZ for over two years. I was listed in the google directory under Business > Small Business > Home Office > Work at Home Parents for almost as long, but my site got dropped from that directory at some point--not sure exactly when.

Technically my site still shows up when you search for my site in that category, but it doesn't show up on that "all important" directory list. I have written to google several times in the last two weeks, and they aren't sure why this happened. One email suggested that it might be because they didn't have a cache of my site. I had added "ROBOTS NO ARCHIVE" to page properties > big mistake! I've removed the cache restrictions from most pages now.

(Believe me, my site was NOT dropped for a problem with content. My main page has a PR 5 and I don't even have a linking program. Just good content.

Anyway...perhaps "no archiving" is an issue with google. Just a thought. I'd love to hear what your thoughts are. Hopefully, this whole thing will clear up with the latest updating.

Once DMOZ has regular RDF dumps again everything will be back on track :)
