PR and ranking?

Will this effect my PR and more NB my ....

Hello All

Currently I have a PR5 and PR2 on our web sites. We do not have a links page on either of the two but we have "important inbound links". I believe these are boosting the PR5 site to its current status. Now if we develop a links page and offer outbound links back to these prominent ("important sites") will this boost our PR?

And secondly will this boost our search ranking?
I believe these are not directly related as I first thought..

And could you (or Yous) explain why this would or would not help us.

At this time, most feel outbound links don't positively affect your rankings or pr. That is not to say they aren't important and may be playing a minor role in a QA check by search engines. Most feel the importance of outbound links is going to grow.

Having an outbound link page at this time is best for reciprocation and link development.
