This may stop my progress so I need help or some advice

New Web Site 3 months old. www.mydomain.com

I have www.mydomain.com with my content

Google shows www.mydomin.com with my content
Google shows www.otherdomain.com with my content

I tell my hosting company and they change the content on
www.otherdomain.com to their companies logo.

Now I type www.mydomain.com in Google www3 and when I click
I go to www.otherdomain.com

I am now 1st in my targeted keywords but it's www.otherdomain.com that is first.

If anyone has had this before tell me what I can do to correct the problem is it Google or the Hosting or BOTH!

Any Ideas?

if you coss link them that probably why.
last month same thing happened to my websites
i have a link on domain #1 and domain #2

google had the description & title from site #2
i completely ruined my previous ranking.

did you cross link them?

by "cross-linking", do you mean domain forwarding? or is that two different things?

by cross linking i mean domain.com #1 has a link to domain1.com #2 and domain2.com has a link to domain1.com

domain forwading is that you can have different .com
but they would a go to the same domain

Sorry but you misunderstood

The domain www.otherdomain.com is not my web site
it is a disused domain name that the hosting company
still has on their systems

I contacted them and they removed my content from it
but it still appears in the search engines and some of
my web site listing directs visitors to the other domain name and all they see is the hosting companies logo.

Its very weird

What should I do about this?

well it happened because you're using shared web hosting
and lots of website use the same ip address.

You should ask the web hosting company if they no longer
use this domain to put a meta refresh tag that would redirect
to you're domain, or you could contact google.

but the problem with the above is that if it were to redirect
to youre domain you run the risk that it happens again.

You should wait when google does it's crawl at the
beginning of the month, then when you know google crawl
then do the above the redirect.

i contacted twice google and the never e-mailed back.

you should till the beginning of february when it crawls.

domain redirect there isin't anything wrong with that
but if the purpose is to use different keywords in the
domain i wouldn't use that. to have different .com
lead to the same domain i wouldn't do that.

you should host multiple domains with 1 hosting account
that way you can have different content on different .com

I don't see any particular use use of domain redirects
there useful if you have webpages at a free hosting
site and its too long like free.webpages.com/~jaomsis

then you can have your mydomain.com redirect
to free.webpages.com/~jaomsis that way it looks more
professional, easier to remember and if you're webpage
are hosted at a free place like geocities.

I have just contacted my hosting company
and requested them to either remove the
domain name that is not being used or to change the
I.P address.

When I do a search on the new Google results I find my website but when clicked it goes to the other domain name which is not mine but shows my hosting companies logo.

We will see how they respond I don't want to wait 3 months
for a response from Google time is money!
