My name is Jens and I am a new member here. I am also new to this PR system.
My website is a PR6. I got about 200 outbound links pointing towards my website. Many are PR4-5 some are PR6. One is PR7. It seems quite easy to get a PR6. It took me 10 months from a PR2 but I guess it is almost impossible to get a PR7?!
BTW, I have a traveling destination guide and about 40% of the links are other travel related guides that I exchanged links with.
Any comments? What is the requirements to get a PR7?

>>Bear in mind that one PR 8 link will give you a page rank boost of at least 1000 PR 4 links.
I wouldn't go that far, a PageRank 8 link can be good, and very very very good, it's quite complex system to understand it all, and only Google knows exactly how it works (well almost there might be 1 more (not me though :( ) )
But to get a higher PageRank on the Toolbar, it's said that you need inbound links to your site with a higher PageRank than your site currently has.
Also to clarify, when you have incomming links to your site/page, it's called inbound links, and when you have outgoing links from a page/site it's called outbound links.
(So other pages outbound links becomes your inbound links)
If you haven't read it i would suggest Successful Site in 12 Months with Google Alone [webmasterworld.com] and the Google Knowledge base (You will found the link on top of the google news forum)
I think you've come to the right place, if you're looking for PR advice but remember there are MANY factors that go into determining PageRank.
What is the requirements to get a PR7?
That's a big question!
My suggestion would be to start here [webmasterworld.com].
