Fresh dates on some, not others

Before I've seen freshness dates toggled on¦off globally on Google. Today, I noticed that fresh dates are displaying on many competitors pages, but not my own (despite a long track record of having fresh dates).

Has anyone else encountered this particular behavior before?

My hope is that this is just more freshness experimentation, but I'm on-edge if this is an indicator of updates to come.

Actually I see more fresh tags on my own pages than I have seen at any time before in this month. I tend to believe that the update is not near.

would "no-cache" have an affect on the fresh tag?

A lot of fresh results without the fresh tags.

Also, a couple of new pages (not indexed) have disappeared for me altogether. The same exact thing happened before the last dance.

Either way the update will be here within the next week or so. My guess is not too far away

Thanks for the feedback mfishy. The freshbot still seems to visit my site (though it's been picking some peculiar pages). Just wanted to hear back from some people to make sure this isn't a precursor to a PR0.

I noticed one or two funnies with my entry in the SERPs, usually around #7 or so on the first page of results. Site is kept upto date, and getting Fresh dates 1-2 days previous.
Most of this week however the Fresh dates disappeared, and the <title> given for my site had reverted to an earlier one (2weeks+ old), but happily today all is well once more, the site is Fresh'd and the <title> shown is correct. Had a shufty in the logs and the bot has been around so hopefully its settled down again.
