Doesn't look so from the cached version of it, and also it really stands out, you notice it directly.
Top5 results is Overture.

And it looks like they are using the same version as BBC is using.

I've been getting CNN (Google) search traffic for a good while now. Never a LOT of it, but it's been there since at least as far back as October that I remember offhand. I never really looked at the CNN site, but maybe it's more prominent now? I don't think I performed a search there - maybe Google was something you used to have to check off if you wanted those results or something and now it's not?

It's so strange i visit CNN every day, and i've never seen it, also from the Google Cached version of it i can't find the Google logo anywhere.
It looks like it only appears on the CNN US version.

I'm not sure what's new there. I think they just enhanced the bar that the search box is on.

Even though they are Identical google SERP's there seems to be a problem with CNN's Google results.

Every URL using query strings, appears to have its? and = characters replaced with %3F and %3D respecively so
a page called

/details.asp?ArticleID=1

for some reasons gets turned into

/details.asp%3FArticleID%3D1 and obviously returns a 404

I noticed it this morning too (but I didn't want to look stupid and mention it if it had been there for a while -- thanks Lazerzubb :))

Actually, they've modified the design. Google's cache has it from 2 days ago. They've changed the color of the search boxes, added the search bar at the top, increased the size of the search box on the left, and added the Google logo.

Notice that CNN.com is "Enhanced by Google", where other sites (ie. Washington Post) are "Powered by Google".

They're not identical SERPS... I can find some identical and some quite different...

Strange thing is, I have some great rankings there I don't have at google... but for industry that wont be searched for from CNN... oh well.

no idea on newness, I just noticed and mentioned it yesterday, but nobody replied so i thought it was old news.
