PR vs # of links in Page

While trying my best to exchange links for a few month, I have notice most link page have a lot of links in them. I define a lot here as 50 links (not including links to its own site for navigation purposes).

Traffic from them are TOO little and can be ignore, so the purpose of the link exchange is solely because of PR.

Most link page has PR of 5. Others are usually lower. Will it worth the link exchange if a link page has a PR 5 and with more than 50 links in it. How about a link page with PR4 or lower? Am I wasting my time and energy?
