I've been reading this messageboard for a while now, and really appreciate all the advice given. Now I have a problem that I can't seem to find the answer to in the archives. I run a 2 month old lyrics site with about 6,000 HTML pages. For at least the last month only 50 pages have been indexed by Google. Then a couple of days ago an additional 65 pages were indexed - all linked from "chart lyrics" and "new lyrics" sections on the front page. I decided to replace the songs on the front page that had been indexed so that the next time the bot came around it would index new pages. Unfortunately today all 65 of the new pages have disappeared from Google.
Any ideas?
