Can bloglinks hurt PR?

blogrolling, track backing, etc.

I have recently reopened an old blog of mine, with its own domain name. It was previously "live" in early 2001. The site consisted of two pages, and the only page I really used was in a subdirectory. Search engines didn't notice it, and I didn't promote it anyplace.

Now that it's reopened, I am using a popular PHP blogging script to manage content. The script includes track back and ping back features, which search the web and automatically create links to pages which have linked to your posts. I have enabled my site to be track backed to other sites as well.

I also read a post here about blogrolling links, which is something I'm considering adding.

Although my site is a blog, it's based on a specific subject as opposed to being a "here's what I did today" journal (I already have one of those elsewhere :) ) Will having these types of links on my page, and having links to my site on other pages thanks to blogrolling, hurt my PR? The site will also have static content pages and two static non-blog links pages. Will those pages have any effect?

Thanks for your replies!

I wouldn't worry about it, there is very very very little you can do to get banned when it comes to "normal" linking, if you see that a lot of the pages you are linking to doesn't exist in Google's index, and have a blank PageRank bar (be sure to check that they aren't newly published pages) i would probably remove those links, but otherwise you should be fine.
