Google strange behaviour?

I submitted a new site last week. The day after submitting the site was indexed? The next day the site was out of the index. I resubmitted and two days later my site was back in the index. The next day the site was gone again. And today, two day's later, the site is still not back in Google.

Someone to explaine this strange behaviour?

welcome jeffry. sounds like you just timed it right and google picked up your site. the vanishing act sounds like everflux to me. try a site search (top of page) on "everflux"

It seems that I'm not the only one having this problem.
I'll just sit and wait.

I have another site which is crawled by Google on a daily basis? And I don't mind, because I always put a link of a new site to that site. And I presume this is the reason of the fast indexing of the site I talked about. But sometimes it's going wrong.:-(

Perhaps freshbot has gone a little spazzo. The Millenium + 3 bug!

Nothing is going wrong Jeffry ... as has already been pointed out, it is simply the everflux effect. It has to do with the Freshbot making its rounds and adding your new site.

Google's entire index is an amalgam of both the monthly update and the Freshbot adding new pages and sites on a daily basis. The Freshbot doesn't always visit the same sites everyday, so one day a new site may be in the index and out the next day.

Until the monthly update takes place, your site will not be in the regular index. It can take up to two months for that to happen. Be patient. :)
