Just out of curiosity..we talk about the regular update bot and the freshbot...but is there a newsbot?

Don't know but I've seen the image bot around a bit recently.

My guess is yes. Targeted at all the main news sites for the Google news beta. My hunch is the really big news sites get spidered many times a day.
