hi everyone, I never use text links that have the same color as the background. However, client asked if he added more text similar in color as the background could his site get banned.
The human eye could not pick up the color difference between for example 3566A1 vs 3566A2 but can google?
my answer was no don't try it...not worth the risk.

Aside from possible Google ramifications, they are risking the impression of a total lack of professionalism.
You're right, it's not worth the risk.

Using any kind of hidden links of foolhardy, but this old chestnut in particular isn't going to fool anyone. It would be trivially easy for Google to detect that hidden text.

If Google doesn't pick it up, one of your competitors will and submit it. I know, because I just reported one of my competitors, and now they are GONE! Funny thing, just one day after they got banned, they fixed their hidden links. It's not like they didn't know what they were doing, they were just taking the chance. If you don't want to risk getting banned from Google, either automatically or by a human desk check, DON'T DO IT!
