GoogleBot's Paths and Priorities

First and last stop for Google Bot

As webmasters here are reporting spiderings immediately after the December/New Years eve update, I have yet to see GoogleBot in my Logs.
Does GoogleBot have a "Method to the Madness?
Wouldn't the big information sites like "CNN" be first priority for GoogleBot?
In December my site was visited everyday for 12 days by GoogleBot,and I expect the same or better this month.

Was curious about the possible priorities programmed into GoogleBot.

My site is not yet crawled in the new year

GoogleBot is deep crawling my site again today. All of the same pages she grabbed yesterday. This has never happened to me with the deep crawler before. So while I know this doesn't answer your questions it may help you to know she is still making the round.
If you fill your server with live flies that may help. ;)
