Screwed up my site navigation

Hey freshbot, can you hear me?

Without going into detail, the single navigation link from my home page to my site map was indadvertently removed before the last Googlebot deep crawl. So Google just dropped most of the pages on this update. Looks like these pages lost too much of the page rank that was being fed to them from the home page via the site map.

I've fixed the problem, but now will have to wait a month or two to get the Google traffic back.

Any suggestions how I can call in the freshbot while waiting for the next update? There are no prior freshbot tracks in my log files.

Install Google Toolbar and visit your site often is the answer i am seeing on the board for your question.

Can you get a link from a site that is visited by freshbot daily?

  • linking for fresh"google"bot [webmasterworld.com]
  • freshbot (it worked) [webmasterworld.com]

    seemed to work there.
