Is there any type of method to how Google lists these links. Is it in order of page rank, relevency, or anything else?

I'm not sure how Google does it, but Alexa sorts the results by Traffic Rank. Just go to Alexa.com and type "link:foo.bar" just like Google, and you'll get the list of links.

The number will differ from Google's number because it comes from Alexa and not Google. Sometimes it is a smaller number, but I think that's because Alexa filters out the links originating from the site in question.

The crawl size is purported to be larger than Google, so all-in-all it seems a more useful link tool.

Interesting you should mention that Ducan. I was noticing the same thing earlier today checking backlinks. I like the way alexa lists them better too - it's more relevant.

I'm also seeing that the Alexa spider follows 301 redirects.
