Hi,

Does anybody know if google will deliberately unlist 1 page in a specific site?

I have had a page which comes in on the 1st or 2nd page of a specific google search for the last month.

Now, when I perform the same search, my page is not listed. Also, when I look at 'site:' search which shows all the pages google has listed for my site, that particular page is not there anymore. It was there a couple of days ago.

It does not contain any hidden text etc, that might contravene their 'rules'.

Just wondering if anyone might know anything about why this might happen?

Any help, advice would be much appreciated.

cheers

Andrew

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, Andrew.

How about somebody else's rules? Any kind of stuff that might be considered illegal in some way or other? Google is known to have removed such pages from their SERPs in a few cases.

Thanks for the welcome troels.

No, I don't think it's against anyone's rules to be honest.

Having spent some time looking through the archives here, it may just be a case of time, although it's strange in that the page was added to my site and picked up by google very quickly, before disappearing.

I'll give it another little while and look into in further.

thanks again

it's everflux. Any page that is less than 2 months old is only likly to be in the restults temporarily. If it was there in late november it should be there permanently after this update, otherwise, wait till the end of January.
