PR0 because of old "under construction" page

Hi there!
Thanks for this very helpful site!
Here is my problem.

Half a year ago, I made the mistake to add our "under construction" homepage (only one page) to the google index. We've got a PR1 that decreased to PR0. Since 2 month, we have a completely new page. But the google cache still displays the "under construction" page. The googlebot does not visit our site anymore. I submitted our site to google again and we are listed in the german Yahoo directory. All this didn't help. Can't find the googlebot in our log files. Doesn't Google scan PR0 sites any more?

Get a bunch of reciprocal links and freshbot should stop in to visit everyday. That's what is happening to me anyway. The "date" on my listing is seldom more than 2 days old but the cache version may take up to a week to catch up.

Thanks Zapatista for your answer. The other guys seem to be tied up in guessing when the next google dance will take place.

Its always like this at this time of the month.

And the first week or 2 each month is focused on the effects of the previous update.

In fact, come along in week 3 of each month and you will have everyones undivided attention! ;)

How often does Google drop by?

Just hunt for the links from good ranking sites that are relevant to your onw topic and then the bot will find your site in a more natural way, the freshbot will show for a few days nearer the top of the serps and then come the update (or the next months update) you should have your recent pages showing.
