In an article about the Yahoo/Inktomi deal a Forrester Research anlayst with a few comments that might be of interest regarding Google.

"Google faces its inevitable ouster," wrote Forrester Research analyst Charlene Li in a research note published Monday. "With 23 percent of households visiting Google at least once a week, Yahoo must eventually switch its search over to Inktomi to ensure that Google doesn't gain too much power."

23 percent? I would think it would be higher. Too many I know use google for that to make any sense, but I'm not the researcher. Is this a US figure?

The article doesn't seem to make that clear, but the use of the term "households" suggests to me that they're talking about 23% of all households in the US, whether they have Internet access or not.

on a side-line: when looking at those statisitcs in that article,it seems that those AOL users are doing everything but "searching", that is if I look at my general SE referrals.
