better communication with webmasters when they've run into problems

Imagine telling your employees that they are laid off on Christmas Eve due to being blocked by Google.

We are not yet out of money and if we get unblocked this week or next we would not do the lay off.

However... there is no communication with Google on this type of issue (almost none, the Google team did send us a reply informing us that we have been blocked due to inadequate quality to determine Page Rank.)

We have increased our quality but now what?

My #1 wish is the same as Google Guy's.

Three weeks after the banning Google responded:

Thanks for your reply. I have checked our logs, and your site no longer
has any penalties on it. However, once a site is cleared for re-inclusion,
it still needs to be picked up by our crawlers and added to our index. It
seems that this has not yet happened for your site. We cannot manually add
your site to our index, it has to be found by our crawlers. We appreciate
your patience in the meantime.

I don't seem to be included in the new year's index. The freshbot is and has been active, lots of inbound links, what should I do if anything to maximize my chances of being crawled?
