Hi Guys,

I know Google is pretty good at following links, even when they redirect through a cgi or php, but will it:

a) follow links that redirect to a site via an adserver such as ad.doubleclick or even an affiliate server like CJ's

&

b) Whats the impact of several hundred links to a home page that all end with different query, or in this case Aff ID tags.

Any pointers. It seems such a shame not to be able to leverage such a number of loyal affiliates in our link popularity.

Conventional wisdom has been that affiliate links & redirects add nothing for PR & Link pop.

I've seen a couple of posts by members that seem to disagree.

I'd tend to say don't count on them to help your link pop.

I posted another thread that got no replies a few days ago, but I have six sites that I link to that I send through cgi and who have unique identifiers (index.html?1234 kind of thing). One of the six sites has my links showing as backlinks, the others don't. It has me baffled, but that one site *is* getting the benefit of 150 PR4/5/6 links while the others aren't.
