Ways to Improve Ratings in Google?

I was searching the Knowledgebase and found a reference entitled "3 ways to improve rankings in Google". There were two references (Part I and Part II). The part one reference was /forum3/940.htm and the second part was referenced as /forum3/1029.htm.

But when I clicked on either of these two references I received the following message:

ACK! 404 File not found.

Can anyone tell me how/where these two references are now located?

Both threads are quite old and needed to be archived.

They can be found by adding "1000" before the forum number so it reads /forum10003/

Both threads have valuable insights, but being quite out of date you should take the advice with a grain of salt. (in particular the cross linking strategies mentioned which pose far greater risks these days)
