The were all listed in the Index for about 2 weeks.
Now, suddenly they are ALL gone and not listed in Google at all. They all have a grey toolbar (not ranked by Google).
If they were banned for some reason would the toolbar show all white?
Is it common to be listed via the freshbot and then dropped for no reason (all six sites)?
Freshbot, as its name implies, wants fresh sites or freshly updated pages. As the pages go "stale" they will be dropped from the freshbot listings.
From your post it *sounds* like these are all fairly new sites. It usually takes about two Google cycles (two months or so) for new sites to be indexed and to "stick" in Google. If the sites have links from a PR7 page I'd suggest not to worry and just wait a bit, the next regular Google update is due shortly (?before Jan 1?) and this might tell you exactly what is what.
Grey toolbar? White toolbar? There's a lot of discussion on this. If the sites are new and in no way spammy then I would consider the grey toolbar and "Not yet ranked by Google" as meaning exactly what it says.
Everybody should be so blessed starting with PR7 links. Don't sweat it just yet.

It is one of my older sites with a PR7 which I linked to these new sites from. After they were listed in the freshbot, I removed the links from that site with a PR7. Maybe I'll have to put the links back up...
It just kind of stinks because I was making money from them before they dropped.
