Ok, I have put a new site online a few days before the last update. When the update started I tried to make a search for the site using directly the domain name. I received this result from google : Sorry, no information is available for the URL.

Then I tried to enter the domain name again, just without the ".com" at the end. And the 1. link google returned was actually my website and it was already cached by google, so I know googlebot has already found it. The other day it stoped working either way, however starting with today it works again using the technique without ".com". What does this mean? The site is still having the grey toolbar PR and is getting no traffic from google at all.

I guess I have to wait for the next update and then the site might get added to the index. The only thing I dont understand is why the site can be found by using its domain name without ".com" and it doesnt work when I add ".com" at the end.

This happens quite often now, you will find new sites/pages popping in and out of the index due to the so called Everflux effect. New pages show for a day or two and then disappear only to reappear next update. Frustrating.

I suspect you will have to wait until the next update for your site to become stable in the index.

Try searching for Everflux (link at the top of the page) and you should get heaps of information.
