This may seem basic, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere. Maybe someone can help me.

My doubt is related to how PR is influenced by external links. Here is an example:

1. Suppose you are exchanging links with Somesite.com.
2. Somesite.com has a PR = 7.
3. Somesite.com will place Mysite.com in a page located at Somesite.com/somedirectory/links.html that has PR = 4.

My question is: Which of the PRs of Somesite.com will Google consider for my PR calculation? PR 7 (homepage) or PR 4 (second level page where the link is located)?

Page Rank is not according to the site it's according to the individual page, so Google would consider the PR4 page that the link to your site is actually on, dividing by the number of outbound links on the page with a slight off-set (damping factor).
