This is my first, so go easy!

I’ve been observing the forum for a few weeks, have listened, read loads, digested and thought before making any changes to my sites.

One of the sites has only nine pages with the content in iframes. However this aside, I’ve implemented all suggestions (ok, most suggestions!) from this forum and...its worked. Have now a PR5, some decent backlinks, and have achieving #4 out of 614,000 results for my main keywords. So before I go any further...thank you all!

The 9 site pages are focused on "green widgets" and I’ve been asked to include a "green widget glossary", comprising of 1600+ html pages. These pages are currently in frames (sort of a webhelp format), so I believe that they will not be found by google.

To make them visible I'm thinking of adding:
1/ links to all 1600+ pages from a site map. Not directly, "glossary letter a", "glossary letter b" etc. (keeping the file size down).
2/ link on each glossary page back to the home page (just in case google brings them up on a search and frames are not supported).

Will google like this?
Will the googlebot be shocked and walk away in disgust!?
Will my current keywords be diluted at these extra 1600 terms and definitions?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, Roscoe.

I don't think you should worry about the _number_ of new pages. The real problem is if the links will be easily accessible for Googlebot. The general rule is: Keep sitemaps simple and clean. No fancy stuff. And not too big.

I Would try to link directly to them from a set of pages (i wouldn't link to 1600 pages from one page)

And then use a frame-reloader, which reloades the page if it isn't in a frame, since this is JavaScript google will not see it.

Thanks for that, it's an excellent idea - I wish I thought of it!
