Hi All,

I am thinking of stopping Google from caching my site by using the following meta tag:

<META NAME="GOOGLEBOT" CONTENT="NOARCHIVE">

Will this work?
Would you advise it?

My reasons for removing the cache:
I have a site which is on the web at the minute. A competitor (very illiterate with the internet) has started copying my ideas which is making his site more competitive. I know which IP addresses his company uses for internet access (as they have a static IP address).

At the minute if a spider access my site it gets the pure content and no design, however, if a user enters the site they get the full glory of the site. I am not doing any alteration of the content for the spiders just the design (so it shouldn't be frowned apon). If my competitor views my site they get a page which looks like a 404. However, I want Google to stop caching my site so that they can't view my ideas through the cache.

Of course there are times (like now, when my site is enjoying "unplanned downtime") when it's good that Google cached your pages.
