I have a question on whether it's appropriate to add a Yahoo store in addition to my regular store. The point is not to spam, but to create a legitimate channel that can receive more traffic from the Yahoo Shopping network. In addition to my website, I currently also sell on eBay and have an Ebay store.
I hope there's no penalty because I currently have an Ebay store and simply have a link to my site in the About Me page.
Anyone doing this and thoughts on it?
Thanks.
If you have any questions, feel free to let me know. I link TO the webstore on only a couple of pages, and back to the homepage of the normal site. I don't think this should be a problem, as it is quite legitimate way to ensure that the entire site is accessible.
The reason that I want to link back to my normal store is that I don't plan on putting my full product line on Yahoo. Currently 95% of our sales are 2-5 products, so I am just planning on concentrating on those. So I would only have a link back to my main site for the products I am not going to list on Yahoo.
You are right about people staying in their store formats. I've seen few people ever buy from my regular website that originated from eBay.
Thanks.
