Hello all,

I have had quite a major problem with my site in google, where another site url took on my sites description / title / cahe some how.

Resulted in ALL my top positions / traffic going to this other site?

After 4 days of total frustration, chasing google etc... the other site has offered the following - to help.

"I think the best policy would be to wait until the next update but if you want me to redirect back to your site I will. You realise that the same problem could well persist next month if I do this and if it does or I think it is affecting my own ranking then I'll have to switch it back to the situation now."

"I think there is a decent chance that this will work because I will not add the link from my main page so there will be no PR being given to quotation.htm. Also I will use a 301 redirect which Google recommends to use when a site moves."

"If the above approach sounds OK then please confirm this and I will make the changes ASAP."

"Would you be so good as to contact all the Google departments that you emailed explaining the situation."

opinions please - if you want the url's please sticky me - this is very important for me to get it right...

Sounds OK, i would probably threatend with Legal things, but that's up to you it can be quite expensive.

I think it has to do more with the person/company breaking the law, than Google.
