Google Guy also mentioned that there was good news and "light at the end of the tunnel" for my site.
Does anybody have an opinion on what they think this means and if my site was givin a lifeline, how long do you think it would be before my site reappeared in Google?
Any help or thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
This whole experience has been a very costly, major learning curve for me. It has really hurt my business. I learnt the hard way about SEO.
I've decided to learn to optimize myself as that way i'm the only one to blame if something goes wrong....although that won't happen cause this experience and reading this excellent forum has quickly told me what you can and can't do and what works best: Relevant Content and lots of it for a start!
What do the experts think. Do i have a chance on my own or do i have to try and find a SEO that doesn't use tricks to rank high?
Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.
Regards,
We were dropped for three months. After it was determined that we would be let back in, it was the next months spider that brought us back. So, if you just heard the "good news" then you should see yourself back in after this months crawl. AT least that was my experience.
Yes, we all learn the hard way. Is there any other. :-) Seriously, anyone can learn how to be a good search engine marketer if they are willing to take the time and put in a lot of sweat equity to get up to speed and keep it up over the long run. There are free resources and paid resources to help you.
I feel your pain, I lost my site around the same time you did, maybe for the same reason. Google won't answer any of my emails ether. Makes me wonder should i get a new domain and start from scratch, or wait. If only they would tell us how long we are being punished that would be fine by me :), the not knowing part is what i hate.
