[edit reason] No specifics please. [/edit]
Derek, I suggest that you start with Brett's Successful Site in 12 Months with Google Alone [webmasterworld.com] thread. It gives a very good idea of what things will help the site get ranked.

We try to avoid specifics for various reasons. We tend to discuss the principles that apply to getting ranked, so that the discussion is relevant to everyone.
Brett's Successful Site in 12 Months with Google Alone [webmasterworld.com] is an excellent start. I'm sure you'll want to come back with further questions as the arise.
If it's the site in your e-mail address, you aren't in the index. I suppose you might have appeared as fresh content, but you are not in the main index yet.
As you may have noticed, Brett's article is about getting good results in *12 months*. Generally you have to give it 2 months to get fully indexed, another month to start getting a truthful ranking, then you can start improving it from there.
What you can start doing now, is adding content pages to your site. I have no clue about the sorts of widgets you sell, but I minght have a need for some of those widgets in the future. I am far more likely to spend time on a sales site that is willing to hold my hand and give me good advice if I need it.
Like it says, add one page a day of good content. Write a description of one type of widget a day. It will help your sales to those of us that are clueless, and it will also help feed the search engines the content that they desire, to help you bring in those searchers that are familiar with the field.
