Misleading Google Search box

Is this acceptable?

Hi all,

I have a question regarding a site I just found.

The URL of the site is www.higly-competitive-searchengine-word.com (not real site).

There is only the search box of Google with a Google logo, on big banner and a website stat logo.

The keyword in the URL is a foreign word that is highly related to searchengines thus the Google search function...
The banner redirects to a products site.

Now my question: is this legal or is this a misuse of Google? If I didn't explain myself in a good manner please mail me and I'll pass the real URL

Why would it be illegal?

Is it a framed page, using the API or how are the results generated?

I'd imagine that Google has taken the trouble to copyright their logo, and therefore unauthorized use of the logo would be illegal. If I were you I'd report it to Google (and mention webmasterworld).

Google put out many search boxes as part of their previous affiliate program that included logos.

It may be perfectly legitimate. I'd let Google decide. It's their logo.

Ok, I just checked with the admin and ... it's me the goofy one so ... one *bop* on the head for Ambiorix :)

So nothing wrong with the site in question... Tata!

As long as the search goes to Google and it's not raiding results and misrepresenting them - no problem.
