gained PR but dropped in SERPs

I can see a drop in visits-counts since the 28. November.

I have checked the positions of some keywords and compared them with the results before the update.

It's strange, the pages gained 2 to 4 points in PageRank but in the search results, the same pages dropped in positions.

The higher PageRank didn't help my pages much.

Gained 1 pr on a domain, but the competition gained two.
Probably just lost validaty for that word. Minor algo tweaks can make a world of difference in rankings.

The real question, is what did overall referrals do?

referrals from Google dropped by about 20%.

with the fresh update of 2.Dec the pages moved up a few positions. 0-2 positions for keywords ranking better than #20 and 10 for keywords ranking worse than #250.

now i'm waiting for the next main crawl and hoping to get more experience with Google.
