Until their mission becomes stable they are dead to users of their RDF Dumps...the thousands of editors go merrily along adding 3 to 5 thousands of sites a day and only search engines with robots can propagate them.
With a robot you can strip out the urls from DMOZ, crawl them to a depth you desire and no attribution is required. Thereby gaining a competitive advantage over all RDF Dump users and give nothing to building DMOZ. Without attribution they lose the spontaneous submission of applications to become editors.
To allow the software to remain broken for over two months is a signal from Netscape to the entire internet world of their lack of interest. The statement has been made by their actions!
