Google Directory & Dmoz

Google Directory uses Dmoz if I get it right .....

Well , as I understand the Google Directory uses the Dmoz and still I will ask again a dumb question.

I am listed in the Dmoz but when I take the same path and try to find my link via the Directory the sites are not there .

What that means? Google didn't made an updated yet from the Dmoz or I've been just dropped?

Dmoz has had recent problems producing the RDF dump, i.e. the database taken by Google to form its Directory. The last version was created in late September but the dmoz technicians are working as we speak to solve the problems.

Navigate to the appropriate dmoz cat - if you're there then that's fine, you'll eventually get into the Google directory when the dmoz problem is solved and Google updates again. Don't worry if you're not found in the dmoz search - this is subject to the same update problem.

jaxman - the link weight from the odp listing should be counted to your site regardless of when the directory gets updated. Nothing to worry about.

Exactly - everyone who's gained an ODP listing since the end of September will have gained PR from the ODP itself but just not yet from the Google Directory. Check for the dmoz category in the backlinks from your domain, using link:www.domain.com

The problem is I am listed in the Dmoz but not in the Google Directory!
So I'm in the ODP I'm not on Google Directory.

If I search on www2 after the known keywords , I am there.
If I search on www3 , I am there also.

No sign of my site when I search Whatsoever on www.google.com

The fresh boot visited me 3 times this week but now I am gone...

This is my biggest problem... Why I am there and there I am not ... What PR? I don't want PR for now , I just want to get listed :) I'll take care of the PR after I get Listed.

And I do have backlinks beside Dmoz.

The updated did not replicated yet or not finish yet?
I'll die of bad heart :)

If you are in www2 and www3 you will probably be fine once the update is complete.

If I remember right it takes longer for the Google directory to settle in.

Think so?
The pages on the www2 and www3 are the ones from 3 weeks ago.

So that means I lost the wave :(

#$^#$&^$%& ... hope will do better in december but is still unfair ... listed in Dmoz , backlinks , nice content....why? Why me? :(

Erm, let's go through this again...

---
If you're in www2 and www3 now then you'll be in www in the next few days, same as everyone else.

If you're in dmoz then that's great for your PR.

Not this time, but perhaps next month, Google will update its directory with the current dmoz listings. It can't at the moment because of the dmoz technical problems.
---

You're only in exactly the same situation as everyone else with regard to the Google directory, and your listing has made it into the new index, so I don't know what you're upset about. :)

jaxman there are more than a dozen threads dealing with situations like yours. Search for ODP and Everflux with the site search. Bottom line is you are in common situation, there is nothing to worry about, there is nothing you can do about it.
