It fluctuates - it was 9 for a month or two a while back.

Perhaps it's a sign of things to come?

I noticed my site's PR was gray this morning. I panicked and refreshed again. It came back to the normal PR. Possibly update is coming. I cannot take this stress anymore.

I visited a site a couple of hours ago and surfed a little on it. Suddenly it seemed to me that one of the pages had another PR than it had just before. A little later I had the same impression with another page.

Maybe I wasn't wrong?

Once they got the contract extension, Google figured they could reduce them back down to 9 :)

Well, we might as well be honest and admit that we have all been dreaming about "you know what" for the past couple of days. It's kind of like Pavlov's Dog in that I keep hitting the button more and more frequently to come to WebmasterWorld/SEW to see if IT has started. It's like:

20 - every 2+ hours
21 - every 2 hours
22 - every 1.5 hours
23 - every hour
24 - every 45 minutes
25 - every 30 minutes
26 - every 15 minutes
27 - every 10 minutes
28 - every 5 minutes

etc. last month I finally achieved total oblivion where I sat at my terminal for 24 hours straight just hitting the reload button every 15 seconds. After two weeks of heavy medication, I was finally able to come out of it.

So admit it, you are all salivating. It doesn't matter whether you win, lose, draw, or are banned. Every month you are gonna start hitting that lever more and more frequently until the hour is at hand.

Another thing on Yahoo. When I'm logged in to Yahoo sometimes I get a ref id in the URL and a PR of 9 on the bar because of the URL.

ha taxpod.

Somehow I manage to never get more obsessed than every 4 hours or so and don't break sleep patterns to check - in fact i usually don't even check, just wait for "The Thread" to appear on webmasterworld =p
