Hi im new to this forum so i apologise if this topic has already been dicussed.

I currently have a website which is ranked in Google with a pR of 6. One of the keywords for our site is <keyword> and we are currently placed at Number 6. I have purchased recently www.keyword.info and www.keyword.biz. How would i use these domains to the most effect for our main website. Any advice with greatly appreciated

You'll have to get rid of the other two aswell!

But hey Welcome to WW, can seem a little strict on the URL front, but it is the only way!

As for your Question I would use the other sites to target a differnet keyword than your homepage, plenty of differnet content.

You could also add some good keyword rich links to your homepage.

i have an <keyword> page within the site, neither of the url's are index by google, so what about pointing them to our main website will that be any good. i will remove the keywords links

You want these two new sites to both target your main keyword?

You will have to be carefull, make the content as different as possible or you may be reported by your competitors for the use of doorway pages.

I have never used this tactic but see sites that use it all over the top of the serp's.

At present the 2 domian names just point directly to our main site, so when the domain name is entered they go to the main site. Would that be of any benefit or would it harm the main site

Sorry - I see your plan

www.keyword.info

www.keyword.biz

all auto redirect to your site www.keyword.com

Can't see that giving you any boost in rankings.

I would use them for a specific area, ie news about keyword or keyword in newyork. Plenty of content and use keyword rich links from these optimised site back to your main site's homepage.

Hi Liam,

what you need to to the create a mini site around that keyword, articles, advice and general information.

on your main site scatter a few links to the keyword domain using text only links in document style layout.

example.

mysite a UK based company that selling <link>keyword</link>, this site is well laid out and easy to navigate. Just click on the menu on the right hand-side of information, advice and articles on <link>keyword</link>.

blah blah blah.....

this will help your keyword domain move up in google then link back to your main site using the same systems as above.

*** Warning,Warning,Warning ***

do this a lot a google will ban you do a site search for cross-linking.
