Horrid H1 Tags!

Getting around big nasty text without losing points with G?

Hi Guys,

Long time listener, first time caller (sorry - had to say it! :))

I thought I'd start with a dumb question -

I found Bretts quick point system really helpful and don't want to miss out on the H1 tag points but really don't want to use text that size. What effect will the following code have on the situation?

<h1><font size=2>Widgets</font></h1>

Hi, looks like you want to learn css! You could make that h1 tag look like the fine print of a disclaimer. A quick site search will pull up a bunch of posts, or google css.

Cheers Guys,

That was to be my next question!

I have tinkered a little with style sheets and had an inkling that might be the way. Learning it properly has been on my to do list for far too long.

Thanks again - as always this board is a fountain of knowledge.

Hi Dotbum

Learning CSS was on my long list of to dos and something i kept putting off - with the help around this forum I got to grips with the basics (the stuff i needed to do) very quickly. Very painless learning CSS.

Good luck

Or use a condensed font. Works nicely.
